I gave a talk about Python and the World Wide Web, and, because I'd just re-watched the 1982 Conan the Barbarian movie, joked that my organizing theme was the Hyborian Age of Conan the Barbarian. The cult of Thulsa Doom in that movie uses a snake logo. (Since it's a sword and sorcery movie they don't call it a logo, but it is the standard "branding" used for cult battle standards, wall decorations, and jewelry.)

Snakes ... hmmm. So I decided to do a version with Python style snakes.

The talk was for the Canberra Python User Group, and the central curve with flames around the edges reminded me of Parliament House here in Canberra. (The new, not the old.)

I sketched the initial drafts on pencil and paper, and then did a final version in Illustrator.
